@SequelFinalNight Yet on the solo side, not really as much of a challenge/pain as EQ was, depending on your point of view. In some ways good that they labeled mobs Solo or Heroic, but some may argue a little too easy.

@scotlandloose EQ2 appears to be like EQ1 in some of the lore, items and zones, but that is all. The fighting in game is way more crazy in EQ2. You have around 6 toolbars of spells with 8 spells per bar after you put in the time to get to max level. The raids are so complex they have made Easy and Hard Mode raids. SoE has been horrific at scaring away raiders with item, content, and other Nerfs, so most hard core players only last about 2 xpacks from what I have seen before rage quiting.

ahh the lovel malachites...I remember having splitpaw gloves and a fine steel sword and had to do hand to hand combat with the goblines since i didnt have any magic weapons. Lol good ole days..my first magic weapon was the ghoul bane hehe

Kithicor Forest at night used to scare the hell out of me, you'd see a bee and start running through, half way over and suddenly the zombies spawn.

@Darklorden On our server (Drinal) we used North Freeport for the auctions and such. Though I heard East Commons was used on pretty much every other server out there. Ahh, good times.

This game started all modern MMORPGs, everyone since has completely ripped off every aspect of Everquest except the good parts.
