Some of these "dives" were actually fouls that he wouldn't have gotten called if he didn't fall down. Diving is part of the game and it gives your team an advantage. A foul is a foul and only gets called sometimes when someone goes down. You have to remember he's one of the best free kick takers and gets awarded some well positioned free kicks.
