  • How could they show Grandstand at 12.30? The mouse on the moon was 100 minutes

  • According to IMDB the films runs for 82 minutes. Another consideration is that historically film on UK television ran at 25 fps: one frame per second faster than the cinema speed.

  • Wikipedia said 100 minutes

  • Amazon and Blockbuster both state it is 85 minutes. Most British comedy films from that period seem to run about 90 mins.

  • Grandstand was coming after Mouse on the Moon. The snooker was from Sheffield so it had to be in April.

  • They probably cut some scenes out
