  • I'm a big fan, but he contradicts himself.

He said, "Music can communicate such delicate a subtle emotions that are next to impossible to describe with words."

Yet on his website, while promoting his new "Voices" album, it says, "The human voice is the most expressive instrument known to man...it can evoke an enormous amount of emotion."

  • It's not necessarilly a contradiction my friend. He said words cannot describe (with explanation through conversation) such emotions. The human voice in such a manner of expression through song. It is however different.

  • it's the sound of the voice, not the words, that is expressing the emotion. If George Bush sang R-E-S-P-E-C-T, it would probably have a different effect than Aretha Franklin's song, because their voice and HOW they express their emotion through the words is different.

  • He's truly an inspiration. Whether you're a musician or not. :)

  • one of the very bests music makers ever!! Yanni

    i love his music.

  • Yanni's eyes seem so heart breaking here! God bless you Yanni! You are the new descendent of Aristotle, Plato, and all the rest of the Greek people of thought and wisdom! I am so proud that i am Greek like you, Yanni!!!

    Yanni, S' agapame!!:)

    Filia polla apo Ellada!

  • @ExirK no when he says dont judge it, he means while ur in the zone. he writes the peice, then judges it. if he didnt, he would have bad songs, and he has none.

  • this man is unique,he speks about music like a mystic...

  • @jacksnmnwlkr12345 Yeah, but he says "the human voice" and not "words". The voice in it self is the expressive instruments. He is also very open minded to everything and change his approach every now and then like the rest of us.

  • good interview ... inspiring ... what else.

  • Yanni has talent on loan from God. His is some of the best music on earth, especially his "Live at the Acropolis" concert. It's a shame Greece is presently suffering a socialist-caused meltdown.

  • What rich, substancial soul. The world is a much better place because of his contribution.
