  • Nicely said. Remove the money, remove the labels and let the parents parent the children. I am amazed at how everyone in the legislature is so clueless as to how many young lives have been negatively affected by poorly written statutes around child custody and support. Likely the most important work that the legislature can do to ensure that a successful generation of children emerge from a hugely increasing divorce rate. However, the legislature never seems to want to deal with it.

  • Excellent Video, Excellent Bill, for the sake of CHILDEN ALL OVER ( not only in MN but all through the USA ), We Hope that the law will be made IN THE BEST INTEREST OF CHILDREN and that this law can somehow be made a NATIONAL LAW, that would be so great !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Parents have enough trouble than to have to FIGHT against each other and in the courts to get access to their own children, THE LAW SHOULD BE PRESUMED THAT THEIR CHILDREN BELONG TO THEM, Keep up the good work!

  • This movement presumes that judges, COURT-appointed: mediators, minor's attorneys, therapists, evaluators, lawyers and clerks will all behave with integrity in supporting the fidelity of "best Interest"... I can most assuredly state THAT is not and will not be the case unless legislation abolishes the exorbitant self-protections afforded BAD judges, et al, in the FAMILY LAW INDUSTRY. My child was abducted 280 Days ago, No Contact allowed, and I am the Protective Parent!: althepal55 on YouTube

  • Justice Keith genteely advocates that Family Courts "presume parental equality after divorce." This has horrific implications for fee income for Family Law Practices, among other members of our well-oiled Divorce Industry. It's a Blessing for wholesome Child Rearing post divorce. Forces honesty on potentially catty ex-spouse/co-parents. I can explain why under seperate cover. Thank you Justice Keith, for your succinct and legislatively doable sounding show of compassion toward our Children.

  • I support shared parenting and im not even a parent... it just makes pure sense

  • It's not the mom or the system cheating you buddy. Wear. A. Condom.

  • Thank GOD, I never had kids!

  • If all you want is "Shared Parenting" than it is time to keep quiet because you already have it. The only constitutionally compliant result is equal legal and physical custody between two fit parents. Is you start at equal and put the decision of raising on the children on the parents. nopeusa.org

  • @kerrjon To remove the money from child custody cases Title IV-D would need to be repealed. Keep in mind that legislators voted for Title IV-D because it provided for matching funds from the Federal Government into the State. To remove the issue of money from the child custody issue the States would have to give up Federal funding that could be used for any purpose the State wants to. When money talks justice gets gagged.

  • Very good video, thanks much!

  • if i had a real lawyer like you my boys would be safe.I live in ny near rochester ny
