They guested on "The Munsters". They got their name because they were always standing in the hallways of agents, waiting to get hired, hence the "Standells". They met the former Four Preps member and songwriter, Ed Cobb after this album and this partnership proved profitable for all concerned. I met the surviving Standells and one of them said that his fave album was "Dirty Water". That album features the great title song and "Rari".

Thanks so much for posting. Interestingly, this song is performed as "The Swim" (with modification to the lyrics) by the Standells in the movie "Get Yourself a College Girl".
