Angel Shark

One of the most amazing creatures living in the water just off the coast of Southern California is the Angel Shark. These animals lie buried in the sand completely motionless for days waiting for some poor fish, squid or anything else that looks tasty to swim by. They strike quickly and powerfully gulping their food down whole.

Angel sharks can be aggressive and do have sharp teeth that allow them to deliver a painful bite so be cautious and respectful with these animals when you see them.
