The US is without doubt one of the most ruthless and bloodthirsty regimes in human history. But the idea that the terrorist attacks on 9/11 were in any way justified is apalling. It did nothing to challenge the regime and in fact it strengthened its hand.
Anyone who genuinely believes in peace and social justice must remain principled and consistent in their opposition to all hatred and bigotry.

Subtitles for protester please. Mr Blair is the wrong person to be doing this. His grip on reality hasn't been too firm for a number of years. He suggests the protester isn't representative. But no Mr Blair, he isn't a representative, subtle but important difference. All the men in that room would be shouting at you if they weren't having to play the game.

@Eric8542010 The United States deserved the 9/11 incident. 1.5 Million dead Iraqis in the Gulf War. Nobody cared. 90,000 dead Vietnamese civilians dead by direct action of US military, with 1.5 thousand being direct executions/massacres. Not to mention countless other innocent lives attributed to US aggresion. Nobody cares about them.
Yet, when 3,000 World Trade employees die, everybody stands up and shouts, because Americans are "angels" and "Freedom lovers", right? Fuck that.
