Just wondering, why does it appear to be in multiplayer mode when the game is actually running.

That's just the way the game is. If you don't have a second player controlling it, the computer controls the other car.

@gabriel25gatens Actually, No, R4ds does NOT have better quality roms. and besides, it takes all the fun out of making your own portable console, one that is priceless, one that no one else has.

I originally was just browsing video when I saw this. I thought doing this might be a fun hit to get into. I quickly went to google to look up how to shape plastic, since that would be the hardest part, for me. I couldn't find anything. Would you be kind enough to please give me a link, or instructions on how you shaped/moulded the casing?
