@MadCommodore WinUAE has it's own output features that you can use instead of camtasia, you know. If that is too slow, you can always use a real camera, as I described earlier. Lores pixels belong in a CRT television/RGB monitor with scanlines and all - where they can easily be filmed and the result will look much better than compression-mashed lores pixels. Perhaps your HD is slow, or your settings are not correct. Possibilities are endless - other people can do it, so - Find the solution!

@MadCommodore For example, why record with camtasia, if that is too difficult for you? There are also quite feasible other options, like recording with a camera - the quality would be different, but not necessarily worse (lores oldskool pixels packed by youtube always look bad). If you use a CRT television and high resolution with the camera, the result can look better. You can also use earlier OS's (XP works where 7 doesn't in these cases), real Amigas, other computers, etc.Find the solution!

I used to have this game, for the Commodore 64.
Never did beat it!

I just found this game at a garage sale, still in the box, perfect condition, all the manuals and stuff. Any idea what it might be worth? I have no intention of selling it, I'm a collector, but I'm curious.

I loved the soundtrack during the boot up. The piracy protection was infuriating, though. There was a mismatch between the printed manual text and the location of the word you were prompted to enter in at some early point in the game.
I still have my copy. It was the second game I purchased back in 1986/7. The first was Marble Madness. Still have that, too.
I can't record sound with camtasia because microsoft are useless at writing operating systems ;o)

And WinUAE runs about 0.1 FPS while recording sound and video on a core 2 duo so..........
Anyway even new old stock wouldn't be worth much more than 30 bucks, but just enjoy the game. I've got them all for most machines.

@MadCommodore Or because you like to blame others for your own laziness (projection). I agree about what you say about their ability, but that's not really the -REASON-. If anyone else in the world using their operating systems can record with sound, then your statement is just excuse for laziness. Also, it's not "are", but "is". Microsoft IS something - not "Microsoft ARE something". There is always a workaround for things anyway, if you apply yourself and try long enough.

@Gmoooba
I refuse to record a screen on a camera...even if I had one...as it's a glossy laptop screen. And Camtasia can't record sound because there are features missing in the Dell supplied drive .
But there are some guides now to record from newer versions of WinUAE. I record uncompressed AVIs on the same laptop from Atari800win emulator at 4x oversampled resolution so it's not my machine or my ability that was the issue. Anyway there is no sound on an adventure game so Camtasia works fine.
