Swiss tenor Hugues Cuenod (1902-) is not only one of the most elegant tenors who ever lived, he is one of the oldest human beings on the planet. In June of this year he will be an astonishing 108 years of age! Perhaps no singer ever brought more careful, elegant, and precise musianship to ancient music than did Cuenod. His singing of this early 17th century troubdour song is exemplary. "Where, o where have you gone, o my freedom! Since the day true love knew how to take you out of my heart, you have left me lonely!"
