The sound effect at 3:52 is in EB, it plays when you defeat Giygas and the TV fades out.

What really hits home for me though is the last question he asks, because he has nobody to talk to about Fujio-san... nobody knew the homeless guy and who else would care?

This speaks loads about the human condition. In the video, Itoi found someone who didn't judge him and went above and beyond the call of duty to help him when he was in need, so they became friends.
The saddest part is after Fujio-san's death, when Itoi is asking himself "Who were you trying to meet? Where do I put your grave? What do I do with your dog?"... it just conveys the frantic pace of your mind and really reflects how people truly feel when they're in emotional shock.
