That is Martin Kretzer, he was prinicpal trumpet from 1973-2004. In 2004 he stepped down to 2nd trumpet. He is a member of the B.Phil. Brass Ensemble, the B.Phil Brass Quintet and played with many other ensemble like Brasserie Berlin, German Brass.

  • Ah good pictures of the brass ;-) I love the Firebird Suite <3

  • @BerlinPhil Thank you for the confirmation! :)

  • @PianistSk8er Ugh, It's kinda hard to tell, I can't see his face clearly. :( But thank you for you help though :)

  • @JJBRMusic Looks like Guy Braunstein to me.

  • @musicats7 HAHAHA

  • Stravinsky... fuerza... temple... pasión... como su pueblo!!!!

  • @winrx Conducting without a score is basically a modern practice and a major pet peeve of orchestra players. Jochum, Mravinsky, Bohm, Stowkowski, Haitink, among others typically used (and use) scores even for pieces they've performed hundreds of times. Why? Because they dont have to show off!
