Real fireworks on 4th of July

Nikki, Jack and I spent Independence Day in New York.

When we booked on a fireworks sightseeing cruise, we didn't realise the main fireworks would be on the boat!

First, security guards refused to let people sit on chairs -- this was eventually reversed -- and later passengers started begging the captain to "turn the boat around!" to give us a better view. He didn't.

As you can see, one of the security guards went from inviting us to call Fox News or CNN to telling me I had no permisson to film "operations".
