Actually 83 of 84 "violations" were dropped and the remaining one had to do with using a college course to push politics. Using college courses to push politics is one of the primary sources of indoctrination on the left so really that is the pot calling the kettle black.

Newt was impeached for lying to Congress on January 21, 1997.
The House voted overwhelmingly (395 to 28) to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich for ethics violations dating back to September 1994. The house ordered Gingrich to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House's 208-year history it had disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing.

Yeh! they can use somebody else to do the lobby and they themselves for raising the price tag. Representative for Americans is name, there is no urgent need except for elections. Americans need to make elections of representatives spreading into four semesters so each one become more significantly representing what they want at different stages. Newly elected also represents a new mandate from the people.
