90s vintage chippendales first UK TV appearance

From Sept 1990, this was the very first sighting in the UK of the shirtless male stripper phenomenon that would shortly invade our shores. Host Clive James is gently mocking, but fully aware that something big is coming. The footage is from the original LA club, and the line up includes founding Chips Rick Deitz, who says he's unhappy being seen as a 'hollow vessel', engineering graduate Gary Sylvia, and down and dirty Michael Rapp.
