If you want to play with the professionals, eh, you dont die too young. Why dont this video tell the true story of all the Pain and Loss of working with Howe!!
Corporate bullshit, yes....but they made some great music with Howe. I've heard Howe's a real arse to deal with, met him a few times and he wasn't very polite to anyone. Just sayin' that's all.
I think Brian Howe was different but very great. I enjoyed it and of course Paul Rodgers cannot be replaced but cmon granted if Brian Howe being in "Bad Company" wasn't what the others wanted, the songs were awesome! The way that they evolved in to a new sound is an accomplishment. The guitar riffs made me want to learn how to play guitar
Know what you mean, bruddah...but then well, they don't call it showbusiness for nothing. It's all a big show, that's why these people are all so damn miserable inside. I like the Brian Howe stuff, but the original band is unmatchable...just one of those things, I guess...
It's just funny how Mick Ralphs sits there on the one hand and says he really didn't like anything he did with Brian Howe. Yet on the other hand, he just kept on playing with him and touring and continuing to put out albums with him, FOR 9 FUCKING YEARS!! Makes me think Mick was really just more concerned with keeping a steady flow of cash coming in than anything else. Oh well, it's not like those guys don't have bills to pay too...LOL!
@frontman62 I'm a fan of both, and with the other Foreigner band, reparture of their lead singer, I took some time getting into that band, but it was less then a day, basically. They had good songs and a singer who did not detract from them. I find it hard to swallow that the band had such venom but you wouldn't know if based on their fans and the material
Thats because Paul Rodgers voice is Bad Co. Take nothing away from Brian Howe's vocals, but that tough tangible soulful feel wasnt evident in Brian Howe polished Lou Gram type style. To be fair they probably shouldve changed the name of the band, cause as Mick said "it was a band, but it wasnt Bad Co."
