Shedd Aquarium

Shedd Aquarium draws an average of 2 million visitors each year and with good reason. It is a nonprofit aquarium supported by the people of Chicago and opened its doors more than 80 years ago in 1930. It's name comes from John Graves Shedd who put up most of the initial funding, he was president and chairman of the board of Marshall Field & Company.
