I also like her 1991 Sofia performance of this aria. By then the voice had acquired a lot of velvety darkness.

I love both and both are whole and complete. However, I was afraid of posting the 1991 performance... just a matter of precaution, nothing else. Someone looking for conventional or consistent beauty or for 20-sec holding the tone may crash into the cliff towering above.
