Lap Steel Guitar Show

The First Annual Lap Steel Guitar Show was held at Jim Palenscar's Steel Guitar store in Oceanside, CA on May 22, 2010. It was packed with steel guitar enthusiasts and there was a lot of good music played and the largest collection of steel guitar (lap and pedal), Weissenborn, Knutson, Dobro and other instruments I've ever seen in one place! Barney Roach was the mastermind behind this event which will certainly become an annual affair. The show was dedicated to grammy-winner Bobby Ingano and Lowell C. Kiesel, founder of Carvin Manufacturing. Lotsa fun for everyone in attendance!

I live in Las Vegas( somewhat close to S.D.) ....damn, I wish I knew about this show!! Anyone know when another show will be held?? Thanks!!

I can only say that i dreamded of a place like that!!! i'm sure i will never see that in my country.... this is so hard even to find only one lap steel here :-( that i builded my and continue to build some:-)....great thanks for sharing

Wow I see a couple of Suproslike ones I presently own.....that UGLY green/black one, and there's two Silvertones.....black with white fretboards like the one I own.
