  • Good video ...thanks.. im still going back & forth on what BS to buy...this vid helps. If you could please post some comments on how your saw has performed since you posted this vid...Thanks again

  • @Hagfan789

I have had no issue with this saw. Since the initial setup all that I have had to do is adjust the cool blocks from time to time. I use it on just about every project through the shop. Even after selling off a bunch of my other tools I have a hard time letting this saw go. I use it mainly for linear cuts so the wide Olson blade stays on the saw.

  • just bought this saw and am having problems with vibration. mounted it on a 3/4 inch piece of plywood, but that didnt seem to help much. should i keep the rubber grommets under the motor? i removed them when i put the plywood on the base. Also the wheels seem to be balanced and I changed out the belt.

    Thanks

  • @4cbutters , I removed the rubber grommets. I tried with and without. Without grommets the vibration was less. On my saw the combination of wood base, ridgid mounting the motor, and swapping the belt seemed to do the trick. I have also balanced the wheels, but they were pretty good to start with.

  • I just picked up the Kreg Fence. Mounted it tonight when I got home. Seems pretty good, was wondering how you liked it. I paid about $97 bucks for the fence. I have a 14 Inch Delta.

  • Kreg fence has worked great for me. Only complaint I have is the sharp machined corners can grab you as you are walking through the shop and that smarts :-)

blade speed for this and any saw really is much to high, so it tends to build too much heat and prematurely wears the blade out. that said ive done it, and as ive said ruined blades.

  • With the right blade can you cut metal with this saw?

  • Rockler

  • Best bet is to hit some of the online forums lumberjocks and sawmillcreek have a ton of great users and information to help you get going.

  • Similar saw. The Grizzly has more features stock. I really just wanted to pick this tool up locally though, so the Ridgid won out.
