  • We've also worked hard to increase slow speed stability. Some of our early prototypes had a very nasty stall/snap. The design has evolved into a really smooth and predictable airplane. I've managed to spin it once, and it slid into the spin elegantly and recovered easily. Otherwise stalls have dropped the nose straight forward and it flies right out as soon as it regains a little airspeed.

  • Longitudinal stability: We've worked hard through a combination of airfoil refinement and slight airframe dimension tweaks to increase longitudinal stability. Our very first prototype had a lot of pitch hunting, but when we get this one dialed in on a calm day, it should be pretty close to "jet-like" stability.

  • We've gone through a sequence of prototypes and are *really* happy with how the design has evolved. You can see in a few places that we have some low frequency elevon flutter at higher airspeeds, but we think we've identified some unforeseen slop in our linkage that we will eliminate and should cure this problem. There are always a few things to shake out of a new build.

  • at 7:17 through some buffetting you can really see that wing come close to over-

loading looks like some rough air right there.

  • where does this wing get all its longitudinal stability from? I'm impressed.
