This is 32 frames of finished rotoscope animation of Amy Adams from Disney's Enchanted. I really wanted to experiment with this form of animation and it was pretty fun. I uploaded the rough version and this is the final one. I decided to use the Russian version of "That's How You Know" sung by МакSим just to mix it up. Rotoscoping is an animation technique in which animators trace over live-action film movement, frame by frame, for use in animated films. All rights to ENCHANTED belong to The Walt Disney co.

  • I felt that your second pass was more gangster then the actual final! There was a great hold before she finished one of her spins, sweet anticipation. Keep working hard!

  • i think ur right about that cuz in the WIP version she rises a little then goes back down, and then in the final she is at the same level the whole time... if that makes any sense.

  • OMIGOD! I love the version of "That's How You Know" used in this! What language is it in and where can I find it?

  • it's the russian version. Do u want me to e-mail you the mp3?

oo ps i also have true loves kiss in russian too if ur interested.

  • very fluid :) and i do agree that the 2nd was the best

  • I liked the english version better

the body was a little too big for Amy Adams

    but I loved the animation!

    keep up the hard work!

  • @kuruvata

ah... nevermind, i'm not jealous anymore, haha...

  • @chocobosROK that's because he rotoscoped it... meaning he traced it over the actual video footage.

  • woooow. the volume is consistent and the hair seems flawless. im jealous

  • Good job!

  • I recognise this language. It's a Slavic language. It's Russian

  • I love it! Good work, how do you do it? I want to make an animation but I don't know where to begin. I have characters and a plot and storyboard set out but where from there?

  • i don't know you but i am so proud of you. this is fantastic, and the ariel ones too. you will be a proffessional animator one day
