@mxzmike670 I followed his video before and it worked for about 2 days and then it showed the yellow light of death again.

@V3g3T4r14nZ0mB13 I really dont think putting it in the oven will work, you will probably cause more harm then good by unsodering other circuits. I went to my local hardware store and got a heat gun for 15 dollars that had a low temperature setting of 250°C (482°F) and a high temperature setting of 450°C (842°F) and it worked great. Just follow his video step by step and you shouldn't have any problems

Thanks for the detailed videos, it worked great!!!

Since I don't have a heat gun, will putting it in the oven work? And if yes, at what temperature and for how long? Please respond.

First I want to thank you very much for your videos. They are very much appreciated! Next, I've followed this video almost perfectly and still got the ylod when I reassembled her. Now when I say "almost" I was kind of a chicken with the heat gun. It's counter intuitive for me to blast the gpu/cpu with this heat gun so I lightly warmed the mother board and kept it on the gpu/cpu for a bit under 30 seconds on 750 degrees. Going to go for it again with confidence in the morning. Any further advice?

Also thank you so fucking much bro. I fixed all 4 of my ps3's and they work perfectly , how can i repay you?

not glue
it will melt. you need thermal paste
I can see major board warping with this procedure. Too much heat concentrated int the center of the board. Localized thermal expansion can damage the board. Reflow needs preheating before actual reflow.

@longbeach225 There is a lot of warping. That's why I made a jig.
Check out my "Xbox 360 RROD / PS3 YLOD Fix Reflow Jig" video.
