  • Why is this marked as Combat Applications when it is clearly a modern wushu demonstration. It has no relation to combat at all.

  • total lack of understanding of bagua

looks good to someone with no idea but breaks almost everyone of the bagua principles.

  • Bagua being a souther china derived system is characterized by ''explosion'' of techniques ,clarity of movements and some quick stops in some cases. The demonstration we see is neither southern nor executed efficiently.

  • he looks like a gay air bender

  • Very nice bodywork, any man, who can move at this rate of speed, coordinated hand and foot works, should be a formidable foe...hopefully, he has the proper understanding and knowledge if these applications, which are simple, yet complicated...if you know, you know! Sometimes, traditional practitioners compete in WuShu, categories... tournaments are a mere platform to demonstrate...good job! Steven NYC WuTang

  • Cool, but where are the applications?

  • What I don't see here at all: combat or applications. What I do see: Dancing. They should call this "Dancing applications".

  • @tristienm

This is true- for the sports version of wushu promoted by the Chinese government, so now the sportsmen who perform taolu can't fight, and those doing sanda can't (and don't) do the form.

Traditional wushu is not "split" into anything - taolu, duilian and sanshou are parts of one the the same art, and you have to practice them all.

this guy here is brilliant at gymnastics, but I bet he can't fight.

  • god you really dont know anithing about martial arts.

  • lol really? Seriously? Not bagua? Watch the foot work.

  • This is just ballet, not bagua

  • Just work up to it & you'll be fine. ... oh, but then realize we all, or most of us, got a base dizzyness before we start spinning at all. Then the real "fun" starts (getting down to business)
