This is my favorite movie of all time. I used to rent it from a small video store in our town pretty much every day. It was VHS and it was on 99 cents. They actually ended up giving it to me cause I was the only one that rented it in our town. I do now own both the origonal and a dvd version. :-)

My father had the actual book, a collection of tall tales told by the real Baron to his drinking buddies - at least as fantastic as the movie

The Baron's undaunted irrepressible joie de vivre, that's the wonderful thing about it - "Give me a hand, I can't do this all day!" he says, hauling himself straight up out of the ocean by his own ponytail -- the movie is fun to see every time

This is one of the weirdest moives I ever saw, more so then Brazil, but it was one of the most fun ones I've ever saw.

My mom took me to see this when I was a kid. I don't know why she chose this movie, but I'm glad she did. I remember imagining that I was Berthold all the time and jumping up and down three times so I could run fast.
