@praskovia13 yeah, your right, you hear him start singing at 0:06 , it sounds like he joins in at "grasses"
-
The Spinners also sang this song, and it was ace in billions of ways.
-
The pogues are just amazing :)
-
@vegasindigo oh? hmm, maybe you should check your information...poteen and potcheen are the ANGLICIZED versions...and you call yourself an irishman...maybe an English sympathizer, but not much else...
-
@TheLordOden it is spelled poitin, poteen and potcheen, you idiot! I'm an Irishman, I know how to spell it and what it is.
-
....totally agree...
-
@gabornadele it would help if you spelled poitín right...
-
@beanoboo I've tried poteen, great time was had by all !!!
-
Damn the director for not putting the camera on Ronnie's dancing.
-
@beanoboo its 90 per cent lol
Seems like the vocals are lip synced to me. If you play this version and the recorded version at exactly the same time, every syllable sounds exactly the same.

For folks wondering whether this show was lip synced >>>
"According to Phillip Chevron, "It varied from TV show to TV show. This one
(clip in question) has live vocals from Ronnie and Shane while the musicians are
miming." The show this appearence is from is "Sunday Night at the Gaiety".
