X-Box Kinect already uses gesture inputs and the Kinect is a specialized user input device for it. X-Box uses the gesture input about as much as it can but as serious limitations if it is the only accepted input for a computer. A keyboard is far better for text input and will never be surpassed by speech recognition for accuracy. A mouse or touch screen will be more accurate and efficient than gestures too so exclusive gesture input is useful only for gaming consoles and sci-fi.
