Read the fine print, there is always some "attachment" to spend more money on some useless special interest and that is the reason why it wasn't voted for. The IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans for America) has given McCain a D and Obama a B+ when it comes to their veteran voting record.

The Vietnam Veterans of Americasays McCain has voted against them in 15 key votes. I should also note the Obama only voted against them once.

The Disabled Veterans of Americagave McCain a 20% rating while Obama got an 80% rating on their voting records from this organization

October, 2003, McCain voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd (D-CN) that called for an additional $322 million in safety equipment for soldiers in Iraq.

April, 2003, McCain voted to table a senate vote to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq.

August, 2001, McCain voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650 million.

Sen. John McCain has attended even fewer Afghanistan-related Senate hearings over the past two years than Obama's one. Which is a nice way of saying, McCain, R-Ariz., the top Republican on the Senate Armed Service Committee, has attended zero of his committee's six hearings on Afghanistan over the last two years.

Note the visual message in the 17th and 18th seconds of this McCain-approved ad. "Barack Obama is changing" is made racial. When the word "changing" is used, Obama's image is suddenly adjusted to make him much darker (blacker). It's not at all subtle, but it passes quickly and thereby qualifies as subliminal. Afterwards, McCain's image is very much brightened between the 21st and 22nd seconds. The message is clear, things will get darker (blacker) with Obama and brighter (whiter) with McCain.

How come all the Veterans groups give McShame the lowest ratings? How come not a single veterans group endorses McShame? Could it be because he voted against benefits for GI vets coming from Iraq? Things that make you go hmmmm.
