This is my beloved German Shepherd/Husky dog Trouble. He had 2 TPLO procedures for torn cruciate ligaments in his stifle (knee). The metal implant used in his TPLO procedures corroded into his tibia, as the metal was not medical grade. He developed osteosarcoma (bone cancer) directly at the site of the corroded implant. He had to have his leg amputed to alleviate the pain. Thousands of dollars, medical, and holistic care could not stop this extremely aggressive plate related cancer. This cancer metastasizes quickly, and in BOTH of my dogs who developed osteosarcoma post TPLO surgeries, it had metastasized into the spine of my beloved canine companions. Trouble died 4 months post amputation and Fly died 35 days into treatment. This video shows Trouble getting water therapy with an underwater treadmill. I miss you and love you so much, Trouble and Fly.
@seanof30306 Thank you so much for your kind comment. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my babies and regret having this procedure done to them. I am sorry your Lily tore her ACL. I hope she does not have any complications from this procedure. What kind of dog is she? For three TPLOs and the cancer care for my two beloved canine children, I spent over $17,000.00. I was in touch with other people whose dogs had developed osteosarcoma after the metal implants had corroded in them.

I am so sorry for your losses. My Lily just had TPLO surgery last week on her right leg. After seeing this, I am totally freaked out and will be making some calls on Monday!
I hope you sued the crap out of the vet who performed those procedures and the makers of those plates!
