Classic CBS 41: 41 News Open (2004)

On February 3, 2004, WTOR and WFTW swapped network affiliations. WTOR-FTV joined the CBS network and became "CBS 41," while WFTW lost the CBS affiliation after 52 years and became a Fox affiliate.

Later that day, WTOR launced newscasts at Noon, 5, and 6 PM. During that time, newscasts on WTOR were harder to come by. The animation used in this news open was commissioned after the name change to "CBS 41 Marion" and has been used since that day.
