I have had Epilepsy, brought on by a concussion I sustained when I was 16 years old. I'm 38 now and I am on meds to keep the seizures at bay. But, for some reason I've had more than ever in the the past year. I ended up in the ER Saturday evening and had another grand mal seizure while in the hospital. Anyway, the dr. admitted me and I could not leave the hospital. However, he discharged me the following day. He wanted me to stay because I was having more seizures than I normally would. 4 grand mal's in one day puts ALOT of stress on ones body. 4 is alot to me because I usually only have one..........

  • My boyfriend had his first grand mal seizure July 25 2008. The doctor did a CT Scan and found a tumor in his left temporal lobe. They have done a biopsy but as of today, we still have no results as to whether the tumor is benign or not. Since July 25, he has had 3 more grand mal seizures and I have witnessed 2 of them. I've been trying to research as much as I can and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience with everyone and I commend your bravery to do so. Well wishes.

  • Grand-mal seizures are so physical on the body- but 4 is a lot! Maybe too many meds in your system could be aggrivating you. Talk to your neuro ASAP to find cause or cure.

Please don't drink if possible- not on epilepsy meds or any med in ur brain.

    Take care of your self.
