It relates to the theme of the song, "Esta Tierra es Tuya" written by Sones de Mexico. The song was nominated for a 2007 Latin Grammy® and a 2008 Grammy®. The show in Beardstown, Illinois is a short documentary of what is happening in rural America; the influx of Latinos that actually revives a small town.
Sones de Mexico plays for the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago www.mexfoldanco.org.
Hello, Thanks for your comment. Do you know the Hardwicks? Roger Cox ? in the video?
We have not returned to Beardstown for several years because of funding shortfalls in Springfield. I misspelled Beardsdtown and was unable to correct. Sorry.

Produced by WTTW TV Chicago. Short version of documentary of immigration dilemma. Beardstown lost 1/3 of its population as young people left seeking a more professional life. Industry needed workers and brought them in from the S/W but needed more and brought them in from Latin America. The townspeople did not appreciate it but it helped the town regrow. Once closed businesses reopend with Latin owners. Latin activities became the largest events. Sams Club and other merchants came in, etc.
