you guys do know that there was a fifth arc in the sailor moon manga, right? i don't know if the starlights were in it, but there was a "stars" one that ended off the series(not in the same way).

ever seen the episode of gurren lagann where kit-ten and the black siblings first appears? the designs were all sketchy unlike all the other episodes. kit-ten didnt look very attractive till the other episodes came along. didnt like yoko's eyes in that episode either.

So in other words, Excalibure served his intended purpose. As for Yugioh, I don't see what's wrong with a series having it's somewhat unique style.
