Last year this model was flown as a ducted fan, this year it had a turbine. Unfortunately, after doing some superb tailslides, something went badly wrong.

I missed the actual crash but here's some before and after video, with a description of what happened in the pilot's own words.

  • 140 auzies rated this video!

  • @Truex007well its not the engines or imbalance of thrust that induce a spin at all, while flat spinning the AC has a very low airspeed, while at the same time decending at a huge rate, the outter wing gaining excessive lift while the inner has none, which on some trick or high performance jet AC makes it almost immposible to recover, where the rudder (made for high speed on the jets) has little or no effect, this is true for real and scale AC, you should read "all about aerobatics" Ross Ewing

  • i thought it was an real plane, and did the tiny piolet eject in time..?

  • @kaimanawasisthebest What confused me is not only how did you manage to get a single engined jet into a flat spin, but how did you manage to do so upside down? Not saying it wasn't impossible, but flat spins are relatively rare too begin with, and I've never heard of one in an RC aircraft.

  • to the 140 people who watched this video who dont like rc jets simply dont type in rc jet or rc jet crash, the title is not misleading

  • @Truex007 as i understand it is relatively easy to get into flat spins in that type of air craft, like the real jets, it is almost unrecoverable, apparrently requiring well over 20,000 feet, this happined in nz not that long ago in a x russian fighter, 2 pilots died in a flat spin on the east coast, althought it was proven they were conducting low level aerobatics, for a type renewal

  • An unrecoverable inverted flat-spin?

How in blazes did you manage that?

Also: Sorry bought that mate. That sorta thing kinda ruins your whole day.

  • 墜機?

  • @wilbawild01 why don't you tell us how you REALLY feel about it? lol

  • you mean FILMING and not FLIMING;D?
