who was doing the interuppting on gurvand?

Well you can slot Fidelity 10 which adds shadow mitigation, and Innocence which helps reduce melee damage. You can also bring a lore-master and have him summon his raven like we did. The raven adds around 1350 shadow mitigation. That, and you needs LOTS of healing for this fight.

The tank probably does have a lot of shadow mit along with the fact that the minstrel is constantly healing him makes it seem like he isnt get hit very hard

Your tank doesn't seem to get hit for very much. Can you please tell what his setup (gear+traits) was? I assume lots of shadow mitigation. Any tips will be much appreciated.

Mostly the champ and captain took care of the adds. Captain needs to be Hands of Healing traited to help heal.
