It's possible to convert a Tamiya TT-01 (4WD) into a not-shaft-driven RWD! It's pretty easy. Watch the full video, and then try to make it on your car. This only works on a TT-01!!
You make it to your own risk!

  • @AmartoSengupta watch the video thats what he did.

  • Yeah just take the center shaft out. Takes 1 min. Loosen 4 screws.

  • cool!!!

  • watch him loose a part and cant put the car back together XD

  • just get bigger motor. my cars eight years old and i just keep up grading it but it i made i rwd my 13.5 turn brushless motor would just spin in circles.

  • @pimpssmokesdrugs thats really the only way to go, but before that you need to upgrade suspension, drive shafts, and fix all the little things that are wrong with the tt-01. People say there are limits to the platform but if you have money their are great chassis kits, and other upgrades that could make the tt-01 run almost like a professional rc car.

  • why not just get a rear wheel drive m chassis instead of having to screw with the design. Things shouldn't be modified to what their not intended to. All the weight you take out at the front makes the car out of balanced in the corners. The tt-01 already has more weight at the back than at the front this just makes it worse.

  • keep it 4wd just add bigger brushless motor and bigger powerpack e.g lipo and you will have a car that performs like a rwd but has the agility as a 4wd daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa come on lads im sure im not the only 1 that knows this

  • this is really great but this could work with all cars i have myself a associated tc3 and there it works and also with my hpi e10 it works

  • thats abit of a pain in the ass way to make the tt01 rwd. y not just take out the front driveshafts as ur not going to loss that much power or loss much weight taking out the front diff. as you wouldnt keep it rwd long as it would just piss u off trying to drift

  • you are an idiot!!! with the back spur gear the little shaft holding it and bearings together will fall out at high speed. look at my video...it is faster and you wont loose any bits...only gotta take apart two pieces!!!

  • i think that AWD on rc car not make "easier. but "possible"

because you can control the rc drifting with rwd

  • maybe you are, nevver see a rc car drift that is not AWD ass ho....

  • no powerslide is way different because although the car is sliding in both, in awd the front wheels are pulling also

  • seriosuly huh?

  • WOW HAHAHAHA

what the fuck are you talking about rwd IS what you need for drifting

awd makes it easier to control these toys

  • Why would you want 2 weel drive when you can have 4?

  • well i mean since sliding in awd is considered powerslide and is different from drifting i wanted to see what rwd looks like sliding

  • you can't drift with a RW or FW car. you need a AWD car to drift

  • I'm trying to do the opposite, making a 2wd drive to a 4wd drive. Can anyone help me

  • just take the propshaft out, you don't need to take the front diff apart!!

  • can u make a video of it drifting?
