  • well, partly because he thought the sketches were becoming unoriginal and repetitive and that he thought he didn't have anything to add to them. there were probably other reasons too, though.

  • @happyprincess456 I think he might have had a point. Some sketches from the third season were a lot like the first.

    It's not so much that Cleese's writing was missed as that without him the others didn't have anyone to say no to their odder ideas.

  • I loved this episode...some said they were inferior to earlier ones where John Cleese was a Python, but the show still had some classic and very funny episodes after he departed the troupe.
