An Iranian-American non-partisan group of ordinary people from the Portland Metropolitan area and Vancouver, WA. have come together because they are heartbroken by the violence inflicted upon the Iranian people. They are also tremendously proud of their fellow Iranians for their perseverance and non-violent presence in streets demanding change and justice. They are united with people in Iran demanding: * An end to the violence, * Democracy and human rights for Iran, * Release of all those detained, * They also share President Obamas message of concern while refraining from direct US intervention.
The event took place on July 25th, 2009 at Pioneer Square, Portland Oregon. Produced by Iran-e-Man (My Iran) TV in Portland Oregon.

  • @kurdatheist: although you have asked a long time ago: that is Shajarian, and the song is "razme moshtarak"

  • can someone please tell me who is singing at 2:51 and what is name of the song?

  • I could be totally off base here but based on the intro given on the home page, this is a real TV in Portland Oregon which produces programs on weekly bases. If I understand correctly, it is a non-profit and non-commercial TV. I hope I am right!

  • Beutiful song. I am still asking myself , how the hell a country like Iran could possibily end up to the hands of a bunch of ignorant mullahs who can't evenspeak Persian? How was it possibile to decieve people in that way? Or may be I'm wrong and don't know the reality of Iran and Iranian people.I only know that they're not Arabs and have nothing to do with the Arabic culture. So what happened? can any one explain that to me?

  • Can someone explain what My Iran TV is? Is it a real TV with scheduled programming on real TV or it is an Internet TV? I searched for it all over the U.S. and cannot find it. These are excellent clips and I wished I could watch the regular programming if it was available. I appreciate any comment.

  • I'm trying to find my old progressive friends in Portland, OR from the 80's &early 90's. I'm in Seattle, & can't find old friends from PSU and Lewis & Clark. We have common friends in camp Ashraf that are in need of help. The US gov. signed a treaty with the residents of Ashraf which assured them of US protection. The Iraqi gov killed 11 last week - hitting with hummers. Video on YouTube. Please contact Senator Wyden ASAP - no matter your politics these Iranians/ex oregonians need our help.

  • Well done. I loved the video, the event and they way it was put together. Keep up the good work.

  • غم‌انگيز، دل‌انگيز ، غرورانگيز، ماندگار و آبرومند !

  • gol gofty.
