Go kart first drive

First drive of the kart today. I'm happy with it's performance.
Not super fast (maybe 40km/h), but fast enough to drift, spin, crash and have fun. Two crashes, rollover on the same corner not caught on camera.
About 95% finished, good enough to drive. I will strip it, finish welding & fitting, then paint it in the coming weeks. I also need a pull starter.

@WeRcoolcats 13hp industrial, a little under powered for the weight of the kart. Check my newer videos, I just rebuilt the suspension and fitted a 250cc dirt bike motor, it goes heaps harder now.

yea just seems like it needs more top end.. those lawnmower motors good for the kiddies but when an adult rides in one it seems to not have the response it should.. vf 400 huh yea that will help out :-) well your friend has a nice property.. i live in town where i cant do these things..

so nice to have a large property like that.. i think you need more horse power though higher rpm.. btw you almost took your head off lol

@IRONMAIDENFAN2006 You're right on a few points. This is at a friend's place, I wish I had this much room. More power, higher rpm? How about a VF400? Kart is currently getting upgraded with bigger wheels & suspension, and the VF motor.

kind of funny how in the crash the kart goes right throught the wood/wire fence wich is soild in the ground but then a little gate stops it
