Read an article where the members of this band are calling this suppose-ably new sound "Urban Tejano." Whatever that might means? However, if it's means mixing tejano with other forms of music such as jazz & calling it a musical fusion, then it's my personal option that bands such as the Latin Breed of yesteryear were the first to come out with this suppose-ably new sound.
In the meantime, tighten-up that snare & keep playing that funky "tejano" music, white boy!
