  • you can make a better life ,you're just waiting for the right moment....

  • @SAAB7899 Average?? Average? I wonder who they have in mind?

  • It makes me laugh when I read comments of how Olivia is only an average singer.

The majority of these people have probably only heard some of her popular radio

hits.To fully appreciate her vocal range, lyrical interpretation, and emotional

attachment one has to dig a little bit and listen to some of the more obscure songs

    like this one.

  • Am I the only one who pictures an entire montage of Olivia training to be a samurai for the first 39 seconds?

  • @Branigan4ever Well, maybe that's because you take my self, you take my self control

  • @garamonde ...Wow..that is JUST stunning!!! I listen to the single "Soul Kiss" all the time! It's just so classy and elegant.....I just love the melody. And I proudly lower my car windows and let everyone hear Olivia at her besttttttttttttttttttttttttt.!!! ( I would roll-up the windows and hang my head in shame if the single "Physical" was playing.) LOL LOL LOL

  • @Branigan4ever I'm sorry! I can't explain much deeper, I mean the song just sounds kind of subdued and it's not very fun or interesting to listen to. It certainly isn't a dance track either. Let me put it this way, compared to the Rumour it is EXTREMELY laid back and in my view just feels like the writing for it was put on auto-pilot in the style of any other adult contemporary hit.

  • @garamonde OMG, how could you EVEN suggest that "Sout Kiss" doesn't measure up to "Physical"??!! The single "Soul Kiss" is timeless! .....sophisticated, sensual.......her classiest sound to date!!

  • @Branigan4ever No no, I'm not dismissing it at all. I like the album but it's really uneven and the title track is really weak compared to Physical. I think Physical is probably her best pop album, because of really stellar songs like Recovery, Carried away and Silvery rain, all very strong tracks that were even more memorable in my opinion. On Soul Kiss I really like Moth to a flame, Emotional tangle, Overnight observation, The Right Moment, but most of the songs sound too generic at times.

  • @garamonde You seem to dismiss the album in saying it was "experimental". However, I think it's her strongest pop album. The stellar single "Soul Kiss" sounds as modern as it did back then. It's a classic. And who could forget "Queen of the Publication", "Toughen Up", "The Right Moment", "Driving Music" and "Overnight Observation"!
