Take a look inside one of New York's "Top 10" places to visit, the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

The museum is in such pristine condition that you have a really clear idea of exactly what the immigrants went through before they stepped foot on United States soil.

It is a very informative and cultural experience and one can't go to New York and not see it as Ellis Island (in a way) IS New York.

0:03 - Outside the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

0:56 - The Registry Room. (1:30) - Close-up of the ceiling and the tiles. (1:48) - Large American flag hangs from one of the balconies. (1:58) - Notes on the U.S. Public Health Service from 1892 to 1924. It describes how doctors sometimes only had six seconds to "scan" each immigrant during the line inspection. (2:20) - Notes on the Hospital Buildings and photos.

3:00 - Inside the exhibition.

Filmed using the Sony HDR-HC9 HDV1080i High Definition Handycam.
