I've been thinking a lot about why this song is so condescending. And I think it has to do with Captain Hammer treating the people as objects to his heroism rather than real people in control of their own lives. I think the moral is, help people to stand on their own, rather than keeping them small so you can continue feeling like a hero helping them - but never really giving them what they need, which is autonomy.
