"Idon't think the pros will ever tell you the truth about playing poker. Raise with that AQ!"

Daniel didn't say to not play AQ and he certainly didn't say to limp with it. He said they'll win you pots but you don't want to go all the way with them, unless they substantially improve after the flop of course.

  • that´s banal

  • @Trias88 obviously ak. your looking to hit 6 outs with ak or two with 88.

  • for real daniel ak is no good ,in deepstacks?ok fine but can you elaborate a lil more ,i mean ak is awesome with 20 bigs vs. 100 bigs

  • Awesome... Lessons from Negreanu. Now I can learn how to lose a few million on high stakes poker.

  • AQ is the best hand its better then AK cuz most flops u will suckout online

  • to be scared playing AK then what is good hand to play with?

  • @Trias88 I would rather fold. If you got it in with either AK or 8s preflop, then you made a bad read. I NEVER get all my chips in preflop with AK or 8s unless my reads have been spot on and the player has been playing a serious loose aggressive game and is trying to take advantage. That doesn't mean I won't call a big raise or 3 bet with AK or 88 to see where I land, but I'm not risking tournament life or my entire cash stack to flip coins or be dominated.

  • i disagree he's basically saying be afraid all the time

Well, Doyle didn't make much sense in this one. He certainly doesn't play a hand just to muck it on the flop, does he? And if he flops an A or a K he can be outdrawn just as easily (ok, maybe not that easily, because he's got one of the cards that's on the flop, but still).

  • @mbr05c

Let's suppose your opponent has JJ. What would you rather have - 88 or AK?
