Herring Roe Fishery Off the East Coast of Vancouver Island

This is a herring roe fishery being prosecuted by the Strait of Georgia seine boat fleet off the east coast of Vancouver Island. It was our wake up call this morning. There were about sixty vessels fishing off our back porch since before dawn. My thanks to the skipper and crew of the Royal Pacific for setting their net outside our back window.
