@forgivenman Sorry, but the VTM is FAR from a one trick pony. You just have to be willing to spend a good bit of time tweaking knobs and dip switches.

@forgivenman Hm. nice to know :) I ended up getting a Hughes & Kettner Attax 40 watt. The price was way lower than the what the other guy was asking but ,meh, I'll live. I'd love to get the VTM-60 though.

Thanks man- I go back and forth with using my fingers and using a pick. It all depends on how much Jeff Beck I'm listening to!

If you could rate this from 1-10 what would it be?

@mwiguitar62 Hmmmm... When I'm after a higher gain Marshall kind of sound I'd give it a 9. It's a great amp but totally a one trick pony. It does, however, do that one trick very very well.

That sounds fantastic. Just a question, have you played a peavey classic, and if so could you compare the two? This amp seems to have the awesome sustain that I get from the classic so I just wanted to see if this was the same.

@b1gnasty69 I have to say it but I haven't played any of the Peavey Classics- I've been interested in them though. For cleaner sounds I typically use Vox or Vox style amps.

how loud would you say this amp is? my band plays a lot of places without pa systems and i have the loudest drummer in the world. could the 60 watt handle it or should i got the 120?

I can't imagine the 60 not being enough volume. It's an unbelievably loud amp.
