This is a three part video showing how to document your artwork at full size if you can't afford to have it professionally photographed. This is a time consuming and mundane way of doing it, but the only reason why I continue to do it this way is that it creates an incomparable high resolutions 100% accurate and flat version of your artwork. For years I've been asked how my images look so crisp and clear on my website. Here is how I do it.
Haha. I like how you used the Mac as a paperweight. I've always known this to be the most efficient usage for them.

Hey, I commented on your blog but I'll comment here too just in case you see this first.
My question is, how do you keep the artwork in focus even when it's sitting on top of (not inside) the rectangular guard "lip" on the scanner? I tried this with mine, and it was all out of focus, since the painting is on a large wooden board... couldn't press it in if I wanted to. Can you tell me the model of your scanner? Or any other tips? I really appreciate it; I've been tearing my hair out over this.

@julietsierra22 I'm not sure. Depending on your scanner, the reader may not have the range that the epson does.
I use the Epson Perfection 1640.
