  • what choir is this?

  • it was my ensemble in high school at state solo and ensemble.

  • Hmm...I sang the same song and version in choir not long ago. Are you sure "sion" is pronounced: Syon" not "seeyon"?

  • Pronunciation varies with instructors and certain dialects around the country, but we pronounced "sion" as sigh-on.

  • mostly sophmores and juniors and a couple seniors

  • at my high school the quartet comprised of all sophomores that i'm in is singing this version. i think this song is soo pretty :)

  • I sang this in choir last year and I kinda like the song or atleast the version we sang it in so I would like to have the lyrics but I don't know the artist and when I look up cantate domino it comes up with this mark hyles dude and that isn't the one I was looking for, I'd really love it if y'all would help me out here!

  • @Bacchiano70 true it sounds ugly that they don't use vowels and open their mouths right:( ugh it hurts my ears!

  • what's with people moving their head while they sing??? I sing opera and I don't move my head I just move my hand with the beat. I don't want neck cramps and I don't want to look weird

  • Sorry I didn't undesrtand very well your point (my English is not so good). In any case, I would like to say that the choir is good and the expression is quite good but they pronunce Latin with some mistake. I'm Italian and I think I know the right way to pronunce Latin. In any case, if they go on youtube they can find many choirs that pronunce this piece in right way: it's enough to compare them.

  • the pronounciation is not the restored classical, but eclesiastic or "church Latin". I was in Latin and now i'm in choir and find it very difficult to sing it "Wrong"...

  • Sorry but this song is in Latin. If you need some help in pronuciation please let me know. It's a pity that you are singing using so strange pronunciation. Regards from Italy

  • your conductor should have fixed your vowels before you even started singing this piece! and it is a bit slow.

    seeeeeawn... not zion lol

  • You mess up the words some, but who created this arrangement? We sang it SATB in middle school.
