  • hi, how does this set up work in clean mode?? I'm thinkink about getting the hs3 and the hs4 because I found them at a very low price, but the truth is Yngwie is not my choice of guitarrist... how do you think they would work with blues, funk, rock n roll sound?? thnxs

for tone comparison check my other video demo of this guitar (strat with has3/yjm/yjm) into a Fender Bassman 100 head, I played some clean-crunch blues stuff.Dimarzio hs3/hs4 is a warm pickups with very low output, its output is even lower compare to a standard Fender single coil pickup.you'll never found the sparkling sound of twang vintage strat in this warm pickup. treble booster or dod 308 preamp overdrive are work well with this pickup.

  • Model marshall???

it does diminish the tone but in very subtle way but you'll hear clearly the difference when playing loud and with preamp pedal booster on.direct wiring to the pot gives some advantages:more pure and open tone, fast attack,a little more output, good volume swell, throw away muddiness on the neck pickup.sure if we play blues stuff the 250k tone knob is very important as we need a kind of warm bassy tone on the neck pickup.

  • what happens if you do not wire the pickups to just the volume pot, does it diminish the sound of the pickups if you do not? Thanks
